Canadian-Made Security Product of the Year 2026

The best security product genuinely designed and built in Canada, from an industry that makes more here than most buyers realize.

Paradox builds panels in Quebec. Mircom builds fire alarm in Vaughan. RBH builds access control in Brampton, Camden builds door hardware in Mississauga, and 45Drives builds storage servers in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The idea that nothing is made here anymore is simply wrong, and with Canadian-made appearing on more RFPs every year, it has never mattered more commercially.

This award names the best of it: one product, genuinely designed and built in Canada, that earns its specification on merit. Provenance claims are verified before anything is published.

2
We research
Every claim verified against our criteria. Nominations inform, never decide.
3
We publish
The ranking, the reasoning, and the criticisms, on this page.
What we will rank on
  • Actually Canadian. Designed and manufactured in Canada, verified, not a maple leaf on an imported box.
  • Field performance. A product working installers respect on its merits.
  • Buyable. Real distribution and support in the Canadian channel.
  • Competitive. Standing toe to toe with the imported alternative, not winning on sentiment.
  • Story. Engineering and employment that make the industry here stronger.

Selection is editorial. Nominating is free, placement cannot be bought, and nominees do not see the list before publication. Read how our rankings work.
