DSC (Digital Security Controls) is a Canadian-founded manufacturer of residential and commercial intrusion detection systems, headquartered in Woodbridge, Ontario and now operating as a brand under Johnson Controls. Founded in 1979, DSC pioneered cost-effective hardwired alarm control panels and later became a leader in encrypted wireless sensor technology through its PowerSeries and PowerSeries Neo product lines. The company's PowerG+ platform offers AES-128 encrypted, frequency-hopping wireless sensors with ranges up to 2 km, widely adopted by professional alarm installers across North America and internationally. DSC products are certified to ULC standards and are deeply integrated into the Canadian security dealer ecosystem. The brand's Sur-Gard central station receivers are a separately recognized line within the same Johnson Controls family, both products bearing the original DSC pedigree.
