Overview

Honeywell's Pro-Watch Integrated Security Suite is a comprehensive enterprise access control and security management platform that combines access management, network video recording, intrusion monitoring, and cloud-connected ecosystems in a single centralized dashboard for multi-site security operations. Pro-Watch is engineered for compliance with regulatory standards including Sarbanes-Oxley and NERC CIP requirements for critical infrastructure, and employs TLS 1.2 encryption throughout. The PW7000-series intelligent controllers support OSDP v2 Secure Channel Protocol for encrypted reader communications, modular I/O expansion, and PoE+ power options, enabling flexible deployment from small offices to large enterprise campuses. With Honeywell's 2024 acquisition of Carrier's Global Access Solutions business (including LenelS2), Honeywell has significantly expanded its physical security portfolio, with Pro-Watch continuing to serve existing large enterprise and critical infrastructure customers.

Honeywell’s building technologies arm spans fire (Notifier, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite), access control (Pro-Watch), video, and building automation (Alerton, WEBs). Notifier in particular is one of the dominant engineered fire alarm lines in Canada, with a certified engineered-systems distributor channel and deep ULC listings across panels and devices. The acquisition of Carrier’s security business folded LenelS2 and Onity into the same corporate family, consolidating two of the biggest enterprise access platforms under one roof.

For Canadian contractors the Honeywell relationship is usually through the fire side, where Notifier ESDs carry design, verification, and service obligations, or through Pro-Watch and now OnGuard in enterprise access. The perennial watch item with Honeywell is portfolio rationalization: overlapping product lines acquired over decades get consolidated, and roadmap clarity on which access platform wins matters before committing a large estate.
